Pupil Voice
Our Pupil Voice committees play an active role in in
the life of our school. Pupil put themselves forward
for different committees and undertake a range of
different roles in those groups. Committees meet
regularly with a relevant member of staff and help
shape decision making, contributing to a range of
school activities and ensure that the views and
opinions of our pupils are taken into consideration as
part of our strategic planning. They bring forward
matters on behalf of their respective classes and
take back suggestions, questions and proposals from
school leaders. Our committees include; School
Council, Criw Cymraeg, Digital Leaders, Rights Rangers, Playground Buddies and Eco Committee.
Pupil voice also plays a key element in our topic planning throughout the school and pupils are
able to regularly exercise personal choice in various aspects of their class activities.
Reporting to Parents
During the Autumn and Spring term parents are invited to come into school to discuss
their child9s progress with the class teacher. Your child9s work and books will be available for
you to see and you will have the opportunity to discuss any problems with the class teacher.
However, if you wish to discuss your child at any other time please do not hesitate to ring the
school and make an appointment.
In July your child will bring home a written report. This will show his/her progress for the year
and signpost ways in which s/he could improve in future. After reading the report you are
welcome to make any comments or raise questions either on the relevant section of the report,
or by asking to see your class teacher. Where pupils have an Individual Development Plan (IDP)
you will be asked to meet with a member of staff to review their plan.
