School Uniform
The wearing of school uniform is expected of all our pupils as it adds a sense of identity
and removes peer pressure on pupils to wear the latest 8fashion9. The uniform is very flexible to
allow for all price ranges and personal taste.
We encourage pupils to wear the following school uniform:
•
Grey skirt or trousers
•
Royal blue sweatshirt or cardigan
•
White blouse or blue or white polo.
•
Blue / white 8gingham9 dress (summer option)
•
Plain black sensible shoes or shoe-style trainers.
Please ensure that all items of clothing are clearly marked
with your child9s name.
Suitable clothing should be worn for P.E. and games lessons. The suggested P.E. kit is navy
shorts and a blue or white T-shirt.
There are a number of school uniform suppliers in Maesteg but we do not insist on uniform
having the school logo. Parents/Carers are able to purchase the relevant coloured
sweatshirts/cardigans from supermarkets. There is a uniform swap shop based in Saint David9s
Church, Maesteg
For safety reasons, pupils must not wear:
Shoes or boots with heels
Open toe or 8strappy9 sandals / flip flops
Jeans are inappropriate and are strongly discouraged.
Where clothing has been lost the school will make all reasonable attempts to reunite the
clothing with its rightful owner. After a period of time the school is then at liberty to dispose
of or sell any items that have not been claimed. Lost property is at the school and can be viewed
on request.
Please ensure that all your child9s clothing is clearly labelled with their names.
